“Abandon the search for truth; settle for a good fantasy.” – Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
We all have daydreams. They take us to faraway places and drop us into delicious circumstances. They allow us to escape for a little while from the often boring or under stimulating environments of our every day lives. Although some of us may daydream frequently, relatively few of us are keen to indulge in sexual fantasies.
But there are reasons why you should, especially if you’re looking to inject a spark back into the bedroom.
Like many things in life it all comes back to science. Allowing yourself to escape into your imagination, and dream up savory sexual fantasies will stimulate your mind and body in a way similar to having sex (although it will be obviously less stimulating the real thing). But this spike in adrenaline will put you in the mood for romance and help boost something called “erotophilia,” – or, a positive attitude towards sex.
Basically what it comes down to is the more you fantasize about sex, the more you’ll want to have it (so it’s no great wonder that 50 Shades of Grey was such a best seller). Desire leads to a better sexual experience, and better experiences tend to lead more sex.
It’s a win – win.
