We’re all like Stella right now, just trying to get our groove back.
Everyday seems different as far how creative I feel and unless I maintain my morning routine of writing, working out, and meditation, I find it much harder to get into my creative groove.
What Gets You Feeling Creative?
What do you see when you look at a blank page? Is it easy to fill it up with ideas or does that take some serious work? I am a huge fan of building something from nothing and have always preferred getting creative from inside the lines.
When I need to really build something I start scribbling ideas down on paper and do a brain dump. Then I bounce ideas off my partner, my friends, and strangers.
When I really can’t seem to calm my brain down I’ll take a shower in the middle of the day, or just sit in the sunshine with a cup of tea.
What truly gets me feeling creative are my own thoughts, so the quieter things become the more I can hear.
My favorite way was to do that to run away into the forest and listen to the perfect sounds of nature. The negative ions simulate my senses, clear my head, and soon I’m flooded with gratitude. Large downloads of inspiration soon follow.
If you’ve been having a hard time getting your groove back, I feel you, you are definitely not alone. I highly recommend taking yourself on a silent date in the woods, and if you can’t do that, then create a day of silence at home, even half a day.
Tell everyone in your home not to talk to you, put your phone on airplane mode and away, then find your peaceful place. I promise, inspiration will follow.
